After a brief vacation, Cress Spring Pizzeria will once
again be serving them up on Wednesday, July 12, from 4:30 pm
until 8:30 pm.
We feature
live music every Wednesday, and this week we’re excited to welcome back The Whiskey Farm. Playing
as an acoustic trio, the band features
multi-instrumentalists and layered harmonies in lyric-driven songs, straddling
the line between bluegrass and folk.
The Whiskey Farm |
On the pizza menu, this week marks the return of
the Prodigal Summer. This one is
loaded with marinated summer veggies, and excellent without cheese as a vegan
option. It’s also time to bring back the classic Margherita. Keeping it simple, with fresh tomatoes, fresh
mozzarella, and fresh basil grown here at Cress Spring Farm.
Our beer special of the week is the Creamsicle IPA, a collaboration from
Untitled Art (Waunakee) and Mikerphone Brewing (Elk Grove, IL). This is a hazy
IPA with big tropical hop aromatics along with the smell of sweet vanilla…a hoppy
yet sweet first sip that finishes like a silky New England IPA. A delicious
beer that will pair perfectly with a sunny pizza night.
Here’s
how it works. Every Wednesday evening from May until October,
we'll be selling flaming hot pizzas and delicious desserts, beer and wine, here
at Cress Spring Farm. Picnic on our lawn or take your pizza to enjoy at
home. Outdoor seating only - you are welcome to bring blankets, lawn
chairs, and warm friends to snuggle with. You should also bring whatever
plates, cutlery, etc. that you might need for your picnic. Pizza will be served
in boxes, beer and soda in bottles and wine by the bottle or glass. We
will have mason jars available for wine, but we encourage you to bring your
own. You may supplement your picnic with any salads or other food you wish to
bring, but we ask that you not bring
your own alcohol. We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and chickens
as payment.
Our menu for this week is below, and it's also
posted on our Facebook page.
We hope to see you soon!
