Cress Spring Bakery Home Delivery for December 3

Hello,

We will be delivering for three more weeks before Christmas before taking a two week break. Our last delivery of the year will be December 17, and we will be at the indoor market through December 18. We will resume delivering on January 7, and the farmers market will move to the Senior Center on January 8.

We are finished with Pumpkin Wild Rice bread for the year, it will return next fall. 

Our truffle of the week is Peanut Butter Caramel, a creamy peanut butter center drizzled with caramel and topped with salted peanuts. We also have our original Dark Chocolate Truffles available every week. You may order boxes of either variety, or a mixed box including both. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.

Our raisin bread this week is the Raisin Kamut, and the muffins are Pumpkin and Raspberry Chocolate Chip.

Our truffle of the week is Five Spice, a zesty blend of cinnamon, anise, fennel, black pepper, and clove, with a bright hint of orange.

You may order boxes of either variety, or a mixed box including both. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.

November 19 Delivery menu

I'm going to start posting the home delivery menu here weekly, if I remember. This will also be the menu for shipping, with the caveat that we're only able to ship bread, granola, cookies, and truffles. Scones and muffins are not available for shipping. If you have not received home delivery from us before, you must be approved as a customer before ordering. We deliver only in the Madison area, and delivery is not available to all locations.

We managed to pull off one of our biggest deliveries ever last week without any major disasters, only a few minor ones. We've gotten a lot of questions about our holiday schedule, and our plan is to deliver every friday, including the day after Thanksgiving, through December 17. We will also be at every indoor market through December 18. We will be closed the last two weeks of December, and there are no farmers markets those weeks. We will return in January and have no planned breaks the rest of the winter.    

I'm repeating some information here for those new to the list this week:  

We've changed our fruit bread schedule a bit from last year. We are now offering Cranberry Walnut every week, and alternating our two raisin breads, starting off this week with our traditional Raisin bread with orange and anise. Next week we'll have our Raisin Kamut, a bright sunny bread with lemon zest and a hint of fennel.  

We also have a new cookie available, a chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookie made with both chocolate chips and the chocolate chunks we use in our croissants and brioche. 

The muffins this week are Pumpkin and Raspberry Chocolate Chip, and we'll continue with those at least until Christmas.

We are expanding our line of truffles this year, and will be introducing new flavors as the season progresses. This week we'll have our original dark chocolate truffles, and the flavor of the week, S'mores. That's right, your favorite campfire treat is now available in truffle form. We roll our dark chocolate ganache around an airy marshmallow, dip it in tempered chocolate, and sandwich the whole thing between graham crackers. We're making our own marshmallows and graham crackers, the only thing missing is the campfire. And the mosquitos.
