Bakery vacation

We will be on vacation the last week of march, which means no home delivery on April 1 and no farmers market on April 2.

Happy Equinox,

It seems there has been a little confusion about our remaining delivery schedule, so here it is. We are delivering this week. We will not be delivering the following week, on April 1. We will return for one more delivery on April 8, and then move back to the outdoor market on Saturday, April 16.

We will be donating 20% of our delivery sales this week to Peace-Winds Japan, an organization working to provide food, shelter, and medicine to refugees/survivors of the earthquake in Japan. In addition, we will be sending 20% of our sales from the farmers market yesterday to Peace-Winds. You can read about them at: http://www.peace-winds.org/en/

You may order boxes of any variety, or mixed boxes. We will mix any varieties you wish, in whatever quantities you desire. Our truffles will last for several weeks if refrigerated, although for optimum flavor they should be eaten warm. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.

It has been another rollercoaster week in our little corner of the planet. I try hard not to assign "good" or "bad" to events as they're unfolding - often things we perceive as not going our way eventually turn out to be blessings. So as I witness the hundreds of thousands of incredibly diverse people who have found common ground here in Wisconsin, it seems possible to me that at some point in the future, we will look back at our future former governor with something resembling gratitude, for providing a spark to ignite this movement.
