Cress Spring Bakery Home Delivery for January 28
Hello,
Although I've been known to use this forum to inflict my personal views on the hungry masses, I usually try to avoid the topics of sports and politics, not wanting to alienate any paying customers. But today I'm forced to say it - go Packers!!!!
In anticipation of steep increases in many of our ingredient prices and other expenses this year, and in order to maintain the extravagant lifestyle that we here at Cress Spring Bakery are accustomed to, we will be raising our prices next week. All bread and granola prices will be going up, along with some pastries.
For those of you who might use the Quest card foodshare program, you should know that you can use your Quest card at the farmer's market - at the information booth, you can use your card to purchase "market dollars" that may be used with any vendor. We are also happy to accept market dollars for home delivery, but you would have to go the farmer's market at some point to purchase them.
The truffle varieties available this week are:
Dark Chocolate
White Dog
The White Dog Truffles are made with Death's Door White Whiskey, along with hints of cherry and toasted almond. "White dog" refers to a new whiskey that has not been aged in barrels, essentially moonshine. Death's Door whiskey is made in Door County using Washington Island wheat. It's fragrant and fruity, smelling like warm apple cider. We also have our original Dark Chocolate Truffles available every week. You may order boxes of either variety, or a mixed box including both. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.
The moon has been brilliant out here all week, reflecting off of the snow so brightly you could read by it. These icy cold moonlit nights are one of my favorite things about living out here. Our moonlit quotations of the week (I couldn't decide, so you get two):

Our truffles will last for several weeks if refrigerated, although for optimum flavor they should be eaten warm. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.
Orders may be placed by phone or email, and must be in on Wednesday for Friday delivery.
