Cress Spring Bakery Home Delivery for December 17
Hello,
This will be our last home delivery of 2010. We are taking the last two weeks of December off, and there are no farmer's markets those weeks. We will resume delivering on January 7, and the farmers market will move to the Senior Center on January 8.
A quick word about late orders - although we almost always fill late orders, they consume an inordinate amount of time during our busy baking days. There's an enormous amount of paperwork and logistics involved in the home delivery routes, and the later you order, the more time we have to spend rearranging things. So, while we will continue to fill late orders, we are going to start adding a $2 surcharge for all late orders, meaning any order that comes in after midnight on Wednesday. We really do want to bring you all the baked goods your heart desires - if you missed the deadline but still want to order, please do - but we also want to honor the work we do to make that happen.
And having said all that, for this week only, because the week before Christmas is always our biggest, most challenging delivery of the year, we will be accepting no late delivery orders on Friday this week.
We will be offering six different truffle varieties this week, including a couple new ones, Raspberry and Mint. The Raspberry truffles are made with creme fraiche and organic raspberry puree. The Peppermint truffles are the perfect way to top off your Christmas dinner.

You may order boxes of any variety, or mixed boxes. If you order a standard mixed box, all varieties will be represented. You may also order custom boxes - we will mix any varieties you wish, in whatever quantities you desire.
The order deadline for truffles to be delivered this week is tomorrow, Monday, December 13. We will attempt to fill late orders for truffles, but we will not accept any orders for custom mixed boxes after Wednesday.
Truffles are also available at the winter farmer's market every week, and may be ordered ahead to pick up at the market.

Our truffles will last for several weeks if refrigerated, although for optimum flavor they should be eaten warm. We prefer to have truffle orders by Monday instead of Wednesday, but late orders will usually be accommodated.
